GAAD Pledge
Are you a developer? Have you heard of the #GAADPledge?
At a recent accessibility webinar, there was a conversation about frustration. Imagine what frustrates you about software. Think of a time when the technology you were using didn’t work as it should, or when you couldn’t figure out what you were supposed to do next. Without accessibility support, the world of tech is a frustration to a non-sighted user or someone who is disabled.
With the intention of growing the reach of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (each year on the third Thursday of May), we ask you to join in and please pledge to make the world more accessible wherever you have impact. Make the web more accessible. Make television programming more accessible. In our case, make the App Store more accessible.
Our latest app - Learn Math Facts - is now featured by Apple as one of their favorite accessibility apps.
The app is intended for all ages and designed to replace math anxiety with math positivity, allowing you to practice with different challenges and keep your mind sharp.
Learn Math Facts has full accessibility support, and can be navigated using VoiceOver or Voice Control. Questions can be answered out loud and by writing the answer on the screen.
We hope to help spread awareness and encourage other developers and tech companies to consider accessibility as part of their product design. The world of tech can offer a more accessible future.
We’d be happy to answer any questions and have further conversations about accessibility in apps. Please reach out!
